DeLana Brook Martinez, entered the Heavenly Kingdom, on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. DeLana was born in Odgen, Utah, attended Northwestern State University, Nursing School in Shreveport, graduated with her Masters and served her community as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and has lived on the Northshore since 2009.\r\nLoving mother of Sidney Martinez (Kristin), Christian Martinez, Mason Martinez and Kylan Mayfield. Devoted Solemate of 6 years to Josh Mayfield.\r\nSister of Wayne Smith, Christi Breithaupt (Frank) and the late Sheryl Brooks.\r\nDaughter of Bill McLain and the late Nina McLain.\r\nDevoted grandmother of Lilly Martinez. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.\r\nGrandaughter of Joyce McLain and the late H.H. McLain and the late Robert and Thelma McGoodwin.\r\n
