David Wilkin Desselle, aged 65, of Covington, La., passed away on April 10, 2025, in Covington, LA. Born on August 28, 1959, he served honorably as a Sergeant in the United States Army, earning the Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Sharpshooter Badge, dedicating a part of his life to military service, which was marked by discipline and commitment to his country as a Radio Operator. David retired as a Vice-President of Technical Services at Fresenius Medical Care after over 25 years. He loved watching the Saints, the Pelicans, cooking, caring for his Bonsi Tree and spoiling his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Paul and Beryl Desselle, Brother, Paul Desselle, Jr. and his Grandmother, Minnie Bordelon.
David is survived by his loving wife of 27 Years, Cynthia Bragg-Desselle of Covington, La., Daughters, Amanda Collins (Robert) of Summit, MS, Dawn Deshotel (Tony) of Summit, MS, Hollie Bivalacqua (Herbie) of Marrero, La., Gabrielle Bragle (Corey) of Spartanburg, S.C., 8 Grandchildren, Ty, Dawson, and Greyson Deshotel, Noah Collins, Kenzie Bivalacqua, Flynn, Brynn, and Bella Bragle; Brothers, Joseph Desselle (Richelle) and Thomas Desselle (Delvin), numerous Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service to be held at Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Hwy. 36, Covington, LA on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 10:00 AM with Gathering beginning at 9:00 AM.
