Charles Edward Alana Jr., 74, of Slidell, La., passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 12, 2024. He was a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Slidell, La. He graduated from Slidell High School and was a United States Navy Veteran that served in the Vietnam War. After the Navy, he served in the Merchant Marines. Charles was of the Catholic faith. He retired as an Offshoreman in the Oil Industry after many years. Charles enjoyed life, was very loving and very giving. He loved to travel, watching the Saints, visiting friends and family and target practicing. Charles was proud of his country and family.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Charles and Iris Alana.
Charles is survived by his Sisters, Melonie Murdock of Kingwood, Texas, Jennifer Alana of Slidell, La., Nieces, Shannon Cook, Alexandra Ybos, Hannah Joseph, Nephews, Kegeen Cook, Klayton Cook and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home of Covington, La.
