Carl Lee Hartsock passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015 in Metairie, LA at the age of 75. Born in Ethel, West Virginia, he lived most of his life in Jefferson Parish, LA. He was the devoted father of Angela “Angel” Hartsock Lumpkin, and the beloved “Poppa” of his granddaughter, Audrey Hartsock Lumpkin. Preceded in death by his cherished mother, Ruby Elam Hartsock Goldman, and his sister, Kathleen Hartsock Gallardo. Carl loved to interact with people and in doing so made some very special friends. Carl was an avid sports fan, especially the New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans, and possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of sports statistics which he loved to talk about. His curious nature led him to interests in other areas, such as aviation, astronomy and history. Carl was a generous and honorable man who would help anyone in need and was also known for his reliability and dependability of his word.
