Billy Howes Obituary

Billy Dean Howes passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 in Gretna, LA at the age of 56. He was born in Asheville, NC and lived in Gretna for most of his life. Billy proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Loving husband and grandfather, Historical Mule Drawn Carriage driver, loving brother, John Wayne enthusiast, avid fisherman, and “cranky old man”. Husband of Toni Howes. Son of the late William Bruce Howes and Mary Elizabeth Hoyle Howes. Brother of Annette Murrel, Doug Howes, Scott Howes, and Lainey Tipton. Grandfather of Cooper Whittington, Cohen Whittington, Eva Powell, Madison Powell, and Charlotte Powell. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of his life on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 849 Marlene Dr., Gretna, LA 70056 beginning at Noon.
