Beverly DeLeaumont Biggs Hawkins, 82, of Abita Springs, La. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. She was a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Abita Springs, La. since Katrina. Bev was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy and retired from UNOFCU after 37 years of service. She was the longest tenured employee UNOFCU ever had. Bev enjoyed her church, watching TV, playing cards and rooting for the New Orleans Saints. She loved spoiling her grandchildren.
Bev is preceded in death by her Husband Harvey Kyle Hawkins, Sons, Kevin Biggs, Darin Biggs and Parents, Fernand & Eunice Bistes DeLeaumont.
She is survived by her Sons, William “Kip” Biggs III of Abita Springs, La., Brian Biggs & wife Tina of Abita Springs, La., Sisters, Darleen Johnson of Abita Springs, La., Lynne Chaplain & husband Leon “Doody” of Abita Springs, La., three Granddaughters, Jessica, Laura, Gabriella, four Great Grandchildren, Carter, Colby, Gabe, Lucy Mae, Step-Children, Nieces and Nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM with a Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Jane de Chantel Catholic Church, 72040 Maple Street, Abita Springs, La. 70420, with Father Alex Guzman officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. Louis No. 3 Cemetery, 3421 Esplanade Avenue, New Orleans, La., 70119.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Masses.
Arrangements are entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home of Covington, La.
