Beverly Ann Farria was born July 12, 1969, in New Orleans, LA, to the union of the late Bernell Farria, Sr. and Jacqueline Phillips Farria. She transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home on Friday, April 25, 2025, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA. Beverly graduated from Covington High School. She continued her formal education, earning an associate’s degree in nursing and later pursued a degree in Criminal Justice. An arts and crafts guru and entrepreneur at heart, Beverly was always creating her next “masterpiece’ to sell or to gift someone. She was also an incredible “chef” and loved entertaining family and friends. In early 2006, Beverly repented of her sins, was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and received the Gift of the Holy Ghost at Christ Jesus Apostolic Ministries. She continued to grow in grace and in the knowledge of God, faithfully serving in numerous capacities, including hospitality coordinator and prayer coordinator until her passing. Sis. Beverly was a worshipper, a committed prayer warrior and a soul winner. Her mission was to introduce her family and everyone she knew to Jesus Christ and to serve those in need. Beverly loved her family. Talking with family, staying connected, and having an active presence in their lives was so important to her. A natural caregiver, “TeTe Bev” was a mother figure to all her nieces and nephews (as well as to many other children throughout the community). She wanted everyone to feel welcomed and cared for. She enjoyed laughing and having fun, but she also made sure to talk to us and to instill in us the life skills and Godly principles that would ensure success in life. She encouraged us to be our best. We rejoice that Beverly is now at rest from her earthly labor. Although we will miss her, the memories of her beautiful smile, her compassionate heart and resilient spirit will live on in our hearts forever! Cherishing her memory are: her sisters, Precious Farria and Monica Farria of New Orleans, LA; her brothers: Daniel Farria and Tyrone Farria of Abita Springs, LA and Mark Farria of Slidell, LA; her niece and caretaker, Daniell Magee; her god-daughter, Zion Magee; her “besties,” David, Hannah and Haven Magee; her favorite cousins, Wayne Crawford and Tasha Phillips; her paternal and maternal aunts and uncles and a host of other nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, church family and friends. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her paternal and maternal grandparents, her brother, Bernell Farria, Jr.; her nephew, Mark Jones, and her great niece, Ay’ana McDowell.
