Betty Jean (Burnette) Jenkins

Betty Jean Burnette Jenkins, 81, of Covington, La. passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2025, with her family by her side.  She was a native of New Orleans, La. and a lifelong resident of Covington, La.  Betty was a Homemaker and enjoyed watching QVC, working crossword puzzles and singing Karaoke.  She loved cooking for her family and friends while trying to spoil her grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her Husband, Delos Jenkins Sr., Son, Randy Jenkins, Parents, Marvin & Cassan Burnette.

She is survived by her Sons, Walter R. Jenkins Sr. and wife Stephanie of Covington, La.  Delos Jenkins Jr. and wife Peggy of Covington, La., Brothers, Walter Burnette of  PA, Perry Phillips of Covington, La., Marvin Burnett of Glenmora, La., Sisters, Yvonne Jordan of Glenmora, La., Annie Elliott of Houston, La., Rose Burnett of Glenmora, La., 5 Grandchildren, Brittney, Rebecca, Walter Jr., Betty, Delos III, and Austin; 4 Great Grandchildren, Logan, Aubree, Amelia, Jasper and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home of Covington, La.
