Beta continued working as a part-time nurse for the next 32 years in various hospitals on the north and south shores of Lake Pontchartrain. Beta was a parishioner of St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church in Abita Springs for almost thirty years, and sang in the choir there, which she loved.
