Bernadette Landry, 84, was called home to Heaven on May 14th 2024 in Covington, Louisiana. She was the widow of Russell Landry. They shared 50 years of marriage together.
Born in New Orleans, Bernadette was the daughter of Brent and Erneth Shall. She spent most of her life as a homemaker for her family. Bernadette was a member of the Lay Carmelite Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and a parishioner of St Jane de Chantal Church in Abita Springs. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and cooking/canning. She was always willing to lend a helping hand. She ran multiple food programs for those in need.
Bernadette is survived by her children: Ralph, Tammy, Jan, and Thomas, her grandchildren: Crystal, Jason, Brittany, Nathan, Katie, Alison, Jacob, and Joshua, and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings: Sybil, Brent, Shirley, and Erneth, daughter: Abby, and grandchild Billy.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 20th, at St Jane de Chantal Church, 72040 Maple St., Abita Springs, LA at 12:00 PM with Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place immediately following the Mass at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans.
