Barbara A. Songy Zuviceh, 83, of Mandeville, LA was welcomed in to Heaven by her personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 30, 2026.  She was born on April 11, 1943, in New Orleans, LA, and was one of five siblings born to Henry J. Songy Jr. and Myrna Rita Songy.  Barbara graduated from John McDonogh Senior High School Class of 1960.

Barbara is survived by her Sister, Bonnie Nicaud, and preceded in death by her Parents, and Brothers Robert Songy and William Songy, and Sister Bette Songy Bertucci.

She was the proud mother of three Sons, Michael E. Talazac, David R. Talazac, and Vincent J Talazac (Kathy), Grandchildren Hunter Talazac, Brandon Talazac, Andrew Talazac, Jacob Talazac (Kellee), Liliana Talazac, and Great Grandson Haden Talazac.

She loved to dance, go thrifting, do arts and crafts projects and to reminisce about “the good ‘ole days” growing up in New Orleans.  Barbara also loved watching her grandchildren play organized sports and she cherished playing with her great grandson.  She cared deeply for others, and often volunteered throughout her life to help lift up those in need.

Her family is eternally grateful for the care and compassion she received through private caregivers, Hospice of St. Tammany and the Hospice House Foundation.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
