Barbara Lynn Regua

It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow the family of Barbara Tassin Regua must announce her passing on September 25, 2023 at the age of 66. Born on Dec 21, 1956 in New Orleans to late Mary Virigina Tassin. She was a loving and devoting mother to Michael Stanley Regua Jr (Jessica), late Jeffrey Mitchell Regua Sr (Melissa), Jennifer Regua Alfonso (Harry), and Jolie Levron. Loving grandparent of Michelle, Marissa, Jeffrey Jr, Mia, and Philip Regua whom Jeffrey shared with Charlene Forte and Landon Regua whom Jeffrey shared with Melissa Messick. Great grandparent to Thomas V., Kalani, and Hope. Sister of Judy Williams (Eddie), Elaine Latapie (Jerry), Eddie Tassin, Peggy Hebert (Ned), and the late Paula Tassin and Paul "Sonny Boy" Tassin. Sister-in-law to Felicia Colna (John) and Darell Regua Sr. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many wonderful friends she also called family.

Barbara will be remembered most by her feisty personality. She always spoke her mind and opinion especially when it was not asked, often times our voice of reason. She was the first to tell you a piece of her mind, but the first to open her arms and house to anyone who needed it. She never met someone she did not befriend and welcome into our family. She loved to go to the casino, play cards and bingo, but most of all she loved being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always up for an adventure that often times didn't go as planned, but turned out perfect in the end.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be held on Oct 5, 2023 at 1:00 PM with Visitation starting at 10:30 AM at Our Lady Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 2320 Paris Rd, Chalmette, LA. There will be a Celebration of Life following the services at 3001 Legend Dr, Meraux, LA.

In Lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that any donations be given at the service to Jennifer Regua Alfonso or Michael Regua to help defer the funeral expenses. The family would like to thank everyone for their support.
