August Joseph Majorie, Sr.

August Joseph Majorie, Sr. peacefully passed away in Slidell, LA on Friday, March 20, 2026. A native of Marerro, LA, age 86 years. Beloved husband of 67 years to Mary Louise Graham Majorie. Loving father of Barbara Ann Majorie Burlett(David Wayne), Patricia Ann Majorie Warino(Kenneth Anthony), and August Joseph Majorie Jr.(Michelle Navarre). Proud grandfather of Stephen Joseph Warino, Michael Anthony Bonano, Aimee Burlett Toomer, Emily Ann Burlett, and Kristie Warino Lal. Loving brother of Carl Anthony Majorie.

He is preceded in death by his late parents, Joseph Majorie and Louise Di Pascal Majorie.

A retired pipeliner, August absolutely loved fishing, RV camping, and watching old Westerns. He was very good boxer/fighter when he was young. He loved telling stories of his travels and was the life of the party; he never met a stranger, and it was often heard regularly that he was a “genuine cool dude!” He loved Jesus and was even an usher at White Dove church years ago. He had a green thumb that could grow anything… He grew things that don’t even grow in our region of the country. August loved his wife and his family dearly, and he will be remembered as an honest, loyal, and true friend. 

Paw, your suffering has ended and Jesus’ mercy prevailed; cast a line with Stephen and rejoice in heaven until we meet again. We love you!
