Andree' Agnelly Obituary

Andree’ Cousin Agnelly passed away on Wednesday, August 16,2023, at the age of 59. Andree’ lived most of her life in Braithwaite, Louisiana and resided in Mandeville Louisiana since hurricane Katrina.

Andree’ was the sweetheart, wife, and best friend of her beloved husband, Jeffrey Ronald Agnelly. She was a loving mother of her two sons, Joel Agnelly(partner Abigail Huff), and Jacob Agnelly(partner Madeline Martin). She is survived by her devoted mother, Emma Miller Cousin, as well as her brother, Jules Joseph Cousin, Jr. and his wife Beverly, and by her sister, Jolie Cousin Everhardt; her nephews; Evan Cousin, Dr. Joshua Cousin and his wife, Leonela,  Jobe Everhardt, as well as her grand nephew, Luca Cousin; her niece, JoLyn Everhardt, as well as her sister-in-law, Nancy E. Agnelly. She is also survived by her loving aunts and uncles; Rosalie Miller Oubre, Peggy Miller Gardner, Albert Joseph “A.J.” Cousin, and many other cousins.

Andree’ is preceded in death by her father, Jules Joseph Cousin, Sr., as well as her parents in law, August E. and Patricia Poissenot Agnelly; her grandparents, Charles Miller Sr., Ina Miller, Albert Cousin, and Lucile Cousin, as well as her late uncles, Wayne Oubre and Charles “Duke” Miller, Jr.

Andree’ graduated High School at Promised Land Academy where she played softball, basketball and was a cheerleader. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University where she majored in Accounting and minored in Computer Science. She received the President’s Medal before she graduated. Andree’ became a CPA and worked at Entergy as a Software Engineer for many years; she  was very devoted to her profession.

Andree’ was very active with her sons. She and Jeffrey, coached soccer, baseball, and were active in the Boy Scouts as Troop Leaders.

Andree’ loved and cared for animals; She fostered and adopted many lucky cats and dogs in her lifetime. She volunteered at the St. Francis Animal Sanctuary Adoption Center, 813 Florida Street, Mandeville LA 70448 and Adopt a Pet Foundation.

Music and Dancing were two of Andree’s passions. She loved watching football and baseball with the family and going out in the boat with her husband and sons.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington LA on Thursday, August 24th. at 11:30 AM with Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA. The family wishes especially to acknowledge the staff of Passages Hospice for their loving care of Andree’ through this most difficult time.
