Amy D. (Kleckner) Baldwin

Amy D. (Kleckner) Baldwin peacefully entered into the presence of our Lord on November 23, 2025, in Covington, LA, with family by her side. She was 91 years old. Born in Reading, PA, on April 28,1934, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert G. Kleckner, Sr. and Elizabeth D. (Endlich) Kleckner. She was a long-time resident of Reading and had recently relocated to Louisiana to be near her daughter, but she always missed the hills and the changing seasons of Pennsylvania.

Amy was a graduate of Reading High School, class of 1952, and earned a Bachelor of Music from Vassar College and a Master of Music from Westminster Choir College. She was a school music teacher, a choir conductor, and a church pianist and organist for many years.

Amy was preceded in death by her father, Robert G. Kleckner, Sr., her mother, Elizabeth E. Kleckner, and her brother, Robert G. Kleckner, Jr. She is survived by her children: son, Mark Baldwin (Alicia) of Reading, PA; son, Robert Baldwin of Erie, PA; and daughter, Elisabeth Baldwin Taylor of Mandeville, LA; and grandchildren: Jack, Megan, Andrew, Peter, Emily, Nolan, Caera, Liam, and Alyse.

Amy was a passionate animal lover and could never turn away a stray animal looking for a home. She will always be remembered for her love of all animals. She was also a trained classical pianist, with a particular love for Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart. As a faithful servant of the Lord, she found immense joy in singing hymns at church. Amy will be dearly missed but will live forever in our hearts and memories.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn Street, Reading, PA 19601, beginning at 11:00 am with a Service at 12:00 pm, followed by a Graveside Service at Charles Evans Cemetery, 1119 Centre Avenue, Reading, PA 19601, at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Amy’s memory are invited to make a donation to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508, or the Reading Symphony Orchestra, 100 North 5th Street, Reading, PA 19601.
