William James Sarris passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at his residence in Franklinton, LA. Native of Dunedin, FL, age 37 years. Loving son of Wilma Beth Zylstra Sarris; devoted brother of Emily Reese, Marjorie Sarris, Joshua Miley, and Jacob Miley, and loving grandson to Roger and Gerry Douyard, and Marvin Zylstra. Devoted uncle to many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his late father Michael Edward Sarris, and his late grandmother Gertrude Zylstra. We want to say thank you to everyone who has reached out to us in these last few days. It has been a difficult time for our family, but it has been heartwarming to hear from people who knew and cared for Billy. He loved living in Franklinton, and he refused to even consider putting in roots elsewhere. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Celebration of Billy’s life this Friday, February 18, 2022, at Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Highway 36, Covington, LA 70433 at 3:00 PM with Visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.
