Vilma Fortin, 79, passed away on July 2, 2017 at Ochsner Medical Center,Kenner. \r\nBorn June 18, 1938 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras to Carlos Fortin of San Pedro Sula, Honduras and Juana Oliva of Metapan, El Salvador.\r\nPreceded in death by her 1st great-grandson, Brennan Newman.\r\nSurvived by her 2 sons, Hector Zelaya of Irvine, California and Jaime Zelaya of Kenner, LA.\r\nGrandmother of Niki Bernice, Jamie Leigh, Angela Renee, Dalton Douglas, Corrine Brianne, Ethan Alexander and numerous great-grandchildren.\r\nAlso survived by her aunt Maria Parsons.\r\n
