Theodore E. "Teddy" Serpas

Theodore E. “Teddy” Serpas departed this life, from his residence in Chalmette, LA, to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Saviour and his other departed loved ones on Sunday, February 13, 2022. Mr. Serpas was 81 years of age. He was born in New Orleans, LA and resided in Chalmette, LA for most of his life. He was a Veteran of the 101st Airborne Division, out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, First Calvary of the United States Army, a member of the Masonic Order for over 50 years, most recently with the Andrew Jackson Lodge in Arabi, LA, a member of the Ninth Ward Social Club, a Boy Scout, history enthusiast, a recipient of the American Legion Citizenship Award, and Proud member of the NRA. One of his favorite things to do was to ride his motorcycle. He was a member of John Wesley Methodist Church in New Orleans, LA. Teddy is preceded in death by his parents George W. Serpas and Madge Barron Serpas. Devoted father of the late Theodore E. Serpas, Jr. Beloved brother of Leatrice Serpas Mancuso and her husband Frank, and Virginia Serpas Olivier and her husband Kenneth. He is also survived by his nephews David Mancuso, Christopher Olivier, and Kenneth Olivier, Jr., his nieces Lisa Kaylor, Deidre Haley, Shanon Lusk, and several great nieces and nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Highway 36, Covington, LA 70043. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM, and Service begins at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA, with Military Honors at 10:00 AM.
