Steven Daniel “Dan†Carrington passed Sunday evening September 17, 2017 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital at the age of 61. He was born in Port Sulphur, LA., and lived in Covington for the past 19 years. Steven was career military, a Navy and Army veteran who served on the USS Enterprise from 1995 until 1998 and the USS Buford in Hawaii from 1983 till 1986. He served on the USS Impervious from 1989 till 1992 as a minesweeper during the Gulf War. He retired from the United States Navy in 1998. Also employed in the 1970’s as a Tack Welder at the Avondale Shipyard. Dan’s hobbies were reading science fiction novels and he loved the New Orleans Saints and the New Orleans Pelicans.\r\n Loving husband of Charlotte Farmer Carrington for 42 years. Son of the late James J. and Shirley Murray Carrington. Father of Joshua J. Carrington, Christopher D. Carrington and the late Lisa N. Carrington. Preceded in death by two sisters, Maryann Courtney and Deborah Edney. Grandfather of Cassidy Carrington Saville of Fisco, TX. \r\n
