Sherren Porche Farrell passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at her home in Kenner at the age of 67. Sherren worked for over 30 years with Nativity of Our Lord, St. Vincent DePaul Society and Divine Mercy Catholic Churches, Ministry of the Needy. Recipient of the Order of St. Louis Medallion. Devoted wife of Glenn Farrell for 47 years. Loving mother of Glenn (Shelia) and Brad Farrell. Grandmother of Tyler, Shelby, Chase and Macie. Sister of Sheila P. Trauth (Lenny), Renay Porche (Rick) and Randy Porche (Theresa). Sister-in-law to Don and Hannelore Farrell. Godmother to Shane Olsen and Austin Ferrill. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Also survived by numerous loving cousins and dear friends. In lieu of flowers, masses preferred or donations to St. Jude Childrenâ€™s Hospital, Shriners Children Hospital or Ministry of the Needy at Divine Mercy Catholic Church. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to Delores, Joann and the social worker at Egan Hospice for their loving care and support during Sherrenâ€™s illness.
