Sandra "Sandy" Killeen

Sandra “Sandy” Killeen passed away on Saturday morning, January 15, 2022 at her home. She was 75 years of age. She was born in New Orleans, LA and lived most of her life in Chalmette, LA. Sandy was a devout Catholic who loved to dance. She was a homemaker during her 25 years of marriage to Michael Allen Killeen. After his passing she began working with St. Mark Catholic Church in Chalmette. She later worked for Malta Park and Malta Square tending to the elderly. After Hurricane Katrina she worked at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Slidell, LA until she retired in 2017. Sandra was preceded by in death by her parents Henry F. Zahn and Catherine O. Zahn. Devoted mother of Michael H. Killeen, Peggy Melancon, and the late Adorise Mayard, the late Sarina Cotton, and the late Katrina Killeen. Loving grandmother of Neisha and Roxanne, and great grandmother of Jamie, Emily, and Dustin. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 2320 Paris Road, Chalmette, LA 70043 on Friday, January 21, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM, and Mass will begin at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Chalmette, LA.
