Rogers Faciane Obituary
Rogers “Roger” Joseph Faciane, age 75 of Slidell, LA became a resident of Poplarville, MS after Hurricane Katrina. He was born at home in December, 1945 in Slidell, LA. He was the son of Edward Joseph and Edna Martha Faciane. A 1964 graduate of Slidell High School. He then served his country in the Army National Guard for eight years. Roger was married in December, 1966 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church.
Roger was a kind man with a heart of gold, always trying to be honest and had a great faith in God, family, and Country. He was owner/operator of MKS Auto Repair for almost 30 years. He loved his customers and friends and was always ready and willing to help someone in need.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Karen, his son Michael (Tina), daughter Stephanie A. Faciane, grandchildren Austin Faciane, Cody Faciane, Nissa Samuels, Nicholai Samuels, and Kaylee N. Faciane. Also, brother to Genevieve Kennedy (Richard), S. Jack Faciane (Macey), and Huey Faciane. Brothers-in-law Bill Jones (lori), Arthur Jones (Shannon), sisters-in-law Debra Parker (Allen), and Sandra Giveans, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son Kevin James Faciane, parents Edward and Edna Faciane, mother-in-law Barbara C. Jones, brothers Russel, Conrad, Bruce, Allen, Eddie, Nicholas, Warren Faciane, sisters Rosemary Clothworthy (Charlie), and Bernadine Dawson (Ronnie).
The family wishes to extend thanks to the many friends and family that have made this journey easier with visits, calls, cards, and prayers, as well as Solace Hospice for their love and support, especially his wonderful nurse Ashley. Also, a big thanks to Laura Maxwell and her group of angels, especially Angela that would sit for Roger when needed.
A Family Service to Celebrate his Life will be held privately.
