Rita Mae Theriot

Rita Mae LeBlanc Theriot went to her eternal rest peacefully on April 12, 2018, at the age of 85 years, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of 63 years of the late Harold Joseph Theriot, who passed away on September 8, 2015. Loving mother of Susan Theriot, and Ricky Joseph Theriot (Colleen). Devoted grandmother of Heather (Harry), Rebecca, Rhett (Allison) and Ricky Jr. great grandmother of Kristen, Kyle, Donavyn, Kalob, Brittyn, Ian and Ari; great great grandmother of Angelle and Lillianna, and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, the late Thomas Joseph LeBlanc and Stella Adams LeBlanc. Rita had 14 brothers and sisters, all of whom have passed away, except for Elvira "Tootsie" Chaisson. Rita had an abundant love for her family, life and God. Two golden hearts stopped beating, hard working hands laid to rest. Thank you Mom and Dad, Granny and Paw Paw for all that you did for us; You loved the Catholic faith dearly, and your deep love for family will always be remembered. We will meet again, but until then, you're forever in our hearts. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 20, 2018, at St. Jane DeChantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple St., Abita Springs, visitation starting at 9:00am with the Mass beginning at 10:00am. Interment immediately following at McDonoughville Cemetery, 520 Hancock St., Gretna. We thank God for the love and understanding from our Priest, Eucharistic Ministers and everyone at St. Jane DeChantal Catholic Church.
