Richard Taylor Wenrick

Richard Taylor Wenrick passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at his residence in Hammond, LA at the age of 81. Richard was born in Snow Shoe, PA. He operated his heavy equipment business in Florida, and was captain of the fire department and a Mason in New York. In approximately 1999 went to live with his daughter in LaPlace, LA. Loving wife of Thelma Stout Wenrick for 21 years. Devoted father of three children; William Wenrick (Melissa), Debra Swetnam (Rick), and the late Richard Wenrick, Jr. Stepfather of Randy Sanderford, Sheila Louque, Brian Sanderford, Gwendolyn Thibodeaux, and the late Harold Sanderford, and the late George DeSoto. Grandfather of seven, step-grandfather of seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Brother of Dorothy Lambert, Lois Caplinger, and the late Betty Jo Hill, Buck Wenrick and Lou Chambers. Cousin of Bob and Nancy Wenrick, and Jim and Nancy Shaw. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Victory Baptist Church, 43385 N. Little Italy Rd., Hammond, LA at 1:00pm.
