Richard John Swanner passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018 in Kenner, LA. at the age of 60. Richard was born in Fort Riley, KS. and lived in Macon, GA. for most of his life.
Loving husband of Lori Hall of 32 years. Son of Frances Hunt Huitt and the late Ellie Chester Swanner Sr. Devoted father of Alisha Nicole Swanner Douglas, Savannah Renee Swanner and Johnny Swanner. Brother of Beverly Brower, Gail Smith-Swanner, Deborah Hinton, Patsy Kynard, Allen Swanner, Lynn Swanner, Brenda Kay Vaughn, Paul D. Swanner, Carlette Huitt, Pamela Coniglio, Michelle Puliizzano, the late Ellie Chester Swanner Jr. and Francis Andre Swanner. Grandfather of Jackson Douglas.
Richard enjoyed motorcycle clubs, painting, music, playing his guitars, golf, throwing pottery, and was the owner of the former “Jon Swanner Salon” at 373 Cotton Ave., Macon, GA.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at Gateway Park, 301 Riverside Drive, Macon, GA. Pastor Quinn from the Fellowship Community Church in Lizella, GA., where Richard was a member, will be saying prayers for friends and family.
