Richard Honeycutt passed away from this earthly life peacefully at his home on Friday, March 21, 2014 with his family at his side. Born in Relief, North Carolina, he volunteered with the Army Air Corps in July, 1941, spent most of his service time in Europe and received a Bronze Service Star for his devoted military service. After his military separation, he worked in the construction industry. Richard was also employed by City Glass of New Orleans and Dependable Glass Works, Covington until his retirement. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.\r\n \r\nBeloved husband of Marie Boudreaux Honeycutt for 68 years.\r\n \r\nDevoted father and father-in-law of Alan R. Honeycutt (Linda), Frank J. Honeycutt (Suzanne), Russell M. Honeycutt (Kim) and Roy J. Honeycutt (Kitty) and Polly Honeycutt.\r\n\r\nBrother of Jack Honeycutt (Cassie), Geneva Street Anderson (Dave), Grover Honeycutt (Helen) and the late Maude, Gladys, Thelma, Myrtle, Mary, Jake, Beatrice and Mamie. Brother-in-law of Lena Honeycutt and Ike Miller.\r\n\r\nSon of the late Grover and Julia Edwards Honeycutt.\r\n\r\nGrandfather of Jessica, Joshua, Aaron, Stephen, Stephanie, Danica, Cameron, Jarrison , Chaley, Sarah, Nathan, Lacey and Chad, also survived by 22 great grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations preferred to St. Tammany Council on Aging.\r\n\r\n
