Raymond Couture Obituary

Raymond “Bozo” Couture, Jr. passed away at his home in St. Bernard, LA on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the age of 76. He was born and lived his whole life in Delacroix Island. He was a self-employed commercial fisherman. He was a seafood buyer, and alligator farmer in Poplarville, MS. Bozo was an avid fisherman who loved his work. He also coached football at Kenilworth Park for over 15 years. Loving husband of Marie Sevin Couture for 50 years. Loving and devoted father of Rosco Couture and his wife Heather Marie Babb Couture. He was preceded in death by two daughters Ellen and Charlotte Couture. Son of the late Raymond and Marcella Pacey Couture. Brother of Lydia Couture, and Ramolee “Cookie” Englatta. Grandfather of Rosco Hunter, Emily Paige, and Ryan Miller. He leaves behind countless friends and business associates. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2621 Colonial Blvd., Violet, LA 70092 on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Noon.
