Paul Giambrone “Pops†was called to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Walle Giambrone. Son of the late Dominic Giambrone and Margaret Masilio Giambrone Puloma. Loving father of Mary Irving, Irma Hoffman (George), Paul Giambrone, Jr., Rose Giambrone, Dominick Giambrone (Sandi), Perry Giambrone (Sharon) and Diane Maurer. Adored Paw-Paw of Marie, Lorraine, Pamela, Robert, Timothy, Jennifier, Paul III, George, Monique, Dominick, Jr., Cristina, Elizabeth, Angelle, Veronica, Perry, Jr., Mason and Jeffrey. Grandfather of 22 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Brother of Anthony Giambrone (Noonie), Jana Puloma Perise (Mike) and the late Joseph and Andrew Giambrone and Frank Puloma, Jr. Nephew of Virginia Carreca (his favorite), and Lena Bourgeois, and Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Paul proudly served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was a truck driver for Cities Service/Citgo for over 10 years. Founder of Giambrone Oil Company and an active member of Louisiana Oil Marketers Association in the 1970’s. He was a current parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Mandeville, prior parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake, Mandeville and St. Mary Magdalen, Metairie. He was a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Holy Mackerels and the VFW Post 8720. During their 66 years of marriage, Paul and Liz enjoyed extensive travels throughout the country. He was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints. Paul never met a stranger, he was loved by all and will be sadly missed.
