Patrick M Donelon

Patrick Michael Donelon, aka (P.D., Rack, and Dancing Bear) passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016, at the young age of 70. He was born December 3, 1946. Pat was a lifelong resident of Harahan, LA, the town he loved and served as Alderman. He attended St. Rita School, Redemptorist High School, Nicholls State University and LSU. He received an Honorable discharge after serving six years in the 377th TACOM Army Reserve. Pat is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Marie Donelon, his brother Michael J. Donelon Sr. and Pam Donelon. He is survived by his brothers, Thomas G. Donelon (Gaynell) and Terrence J. Donelon (Catherine). His sisters, Mary Frances Donelon Camet (Oran), Bridget Donelon Susick (Michael), a host of nieces, nephews, grand nephews and grand nieces, whom he dearly loved. Pat was fondly called “Uncle Pat” by everyone even if you were not related to him. Pat’s passions included family, skiing, and cooking; especially for fundraisers. Pat was a past member of St Rita’s Dad’s Club, Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodge. He will be missed by the hundreds of lives he touched over the course of 70 years. On a personal note, the family sends a special “Thank you” to his cherished friends at Roy’s, “We appreciate your help during his last days.”
