Nicholas Palmer Obituary

Nicholas “Nicky” Palmer passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in Slidell, LA. He was born in New Orleans, LA and lived in St. Bernard Parish for 25 years until Hurricane Katrina, then he resided in Pearl River for the past 15 years. Nicholas was employed for 38 years as a mechanic and maintenance foreman at The University of New Orleans. He retired in 2013. Husband of Karen Hymel Palmer for 49 years. Son of Michael and Anna Palmer. Devoted father of Julynn Kieff (Wade), Victor Palmer (Jacqueline), Caroline Palmer, and Nicole Palmer. Brother of Robert, Michael, Ella, Juliet, Corinne, and Kinta. He was preceded in death by his brother Mott. Grandfather of 11, Taylor, Wade, Jr., Kaitlyn, Aurora, Dwayne, Jr., Nicholas, Nolan, Georgia, Alexandria, Victoria, and Emily. Services are private.
