Miriam G. â€œCookieâ€ Vortisch passed away on July 12, 2016 at the age of 82. Born in New Orleans and lived in Kenner for over 40 years. Cookie had a passion for bingo and the New Orleans Saints.\r\nDevoted wife of the late Adolph F. Vortisch for 57 years.\r\nLoving mother of Miriam Murphy (the late Jesse Murphy, Sr.), Gerald Jacobs, Jr., Keith Jacobs (Cindy), Virginia Hallock (Roy), Lydia Perret (Ronald), William Vortisch, George Vortisch (Monica), and the late Armando Jacobs, Sr., Claude Vortisch and Rocky Jacobs, Sr. (Gladys). Stepmother of Adolph â€œChampâ€ Vortisch Jr. and Yvette Rush. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.\r\n
