Miriam Nix Obituary
Miriam Ann Wheeler Nix passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020, in Mandeville, LA at the age of 79. She was born in Monroe, LA and lived in Woodville, MS for most of her life until moving to Ellisville, MS in 2003.
Ann was a Home Economics teacher. She loved music, dancing, and cooking. Ann had a genuine love for people. Throughout her whole life she was actively involved in church.
Loving wife of the late Russell E. Nix for seven years, and the late Clifford E. Wheeler Sr. for twenty-six years.
Daughter of the late J. Herbert Walker and Miriam E. Swinebroad Walker.
Devoted mother of Clifford E. Wheeler, Jr. and Christopher S. Wheeler (Julie).
Sister of Joseph H. Walker Jr. (Linda) and Mary Katherine Harbin (Stowe).
Grandmother of Clifford E. Wheeler, III (Ariel), Stuart Ashby Wheeler, Morgan Taylor Wheeler, and Savanna Dell Simpson (Ben).
Great Grandmother of Felicity Dell Sanders, Emma Grace Simpson, and Matthew James Simpson.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Funeral Services at Woodville Baptist Church, 264 Natchez St., Woodville, MS on Friday, June 26, 2020. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM with Services at 2:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville, MS.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to Woodville Baptist Church.
