Melissa Renee Morel “Meme” passed away on Tuesday morning on August 14, 2018 at Ochsner Hospital in Jefferson, LA at the age of 37. She was born in Longview, Tx and was a lifelong resident in Slidell, LA. Melissa loved spending time in Pensacola Beach, FL hanging out with her loving family.

Loving wife of 18 years to Clint T. Morel. Daughter of Linda and Russell Oakes. Loving mother of Dylan Michael Oakes. Sister of Jamie and Jeremy Oakes. Preceded in death by her grandparents Jesse Lee "Poppi" and Isabell Lee Mascarella “Nanny”. She will be missed by all her nephew and nieces. The services will be held at First Pentecostal Church at 388 Robert Blvd, Slidell, LA 70458 on August 25, 2018 at 5 pm. Arrangements are entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Covington, LA (985) 875-1131.
