Maria Salazar-Celis Obituary
Maria Leonor Salazar-Celis entered the house of the Lord on Friday, March 16, 2018, at West Jefferson Medical Center, Marrero at the age of 81. Born in Guatemala and lived in New Orleans since 1957.
Wife of the late Jose F. Cuevas Pineda, Sr. for 39 years.
Loving mother of Luis Eduardo Soria Salazar (Alma), Maria Soria Regua (Michael), Hector Antonio Soria Salazar, José Fernando Cuevas, Jr. (Paola), Ramon Cuevas (Diana), Mercedes Cuevas Betts (John Paul), Rocío Elizabeth Cuevas and the late Carlos Humberto Soria Salazar. Survived by one brother, Rogelio Antonio Salazar.
Devoted grandmother of 15 grandchildren.
Maria will be laid to rest on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at 1:45pm at Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Covington, LA. 985-875-1131.
