Marc Nelson Adams\r\nIf roses grow in heaven, please pick a bunch for me\r\nPlace them in my sweetheart’s arms, and tell him they’re from me\r\nTell him that I miss him, and think of him everyday\r\nThere’s a pain in my heart that will never go away\r\n\r\nAdams “rides again” with the angels\r\nSunrise: February 25, 1952 Sunset: August 20, 2017\r\n\r\nMarc was a soulful rhythm-and-blues musician and an accomplished singer-song writer. He was loved by everyone for his sense of humor and his sweet nature. His world revolved around his music. For the past 10 years, he was the house piano man at Irene’s Cuisine Restaurant. He was a frequent site on the New Orleans Jazz Fest & French Quarter Fest stages. His body of work includes three c.d.s that he produced, as well as scores of other projects on which he collaborated. \r\nHe was the loving husband of Clare Adams, stepfather of Troy Holley (Laurie) and Todd Holley (Janeen). “Poppa” to his granddaughters Daphne, Erin and Lucy Holley; Loving son of Janice Hyatt Adams, brother of Laurie Klein (David), Troy Adams (Roxanna) & Cindy Adams; Uncle of Gideon, Gabriel, Alissa & Natalie (Daniel). Nephew of Janice Lambert; He was preceded in death by his father Dr. Albert Adams of Davison, MI.\r\nSpecial thanks to Father Tony of our Lady of Guadaloupe Church, Irene DiPietro for her kindness & generosity; Dr. Scot Sonnier, Dr. Ellen Zakris and Dr. Jennifer Bertsch, who saw him so kindly through all the years of his illness. A shout out to all the nurses at Touro Infusion center Ally, Christine, Teri & Angela; to the Oncology nurses on the 5th floor Batchy, Leah & C.C., to Ann & Kathy at Passages Hospice; Angelle Trosclair and Jeff Greenberg who were always there to step in when Marc needed them.\r\n
