Malcolm Caillouet Obituary

Malcolm Joseph Caillouet, Jr. passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 in Abita Springs, LA at the age of 76. He was born in New Orleans, LA and lived in Chalmette for 40 years, and then resided in Abita Springs for the past 20 years. His passion was fishing in Bayou Biloxi, and the love of his dogs especially Buster. In the last several years he was baptized. He found joy and peace through his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a member of True Life Church in Slidell. Loving and very devoted husband to Ella Bankston Cole Caillouet for 19 years. Son of the late Marian and Malcolm Caillouet, Sr. Devoted father of Donald (Missy), Randy (Nicole), Chris (Chantell), Shawn (Jeanne), Eileen (Ernie), Jonathan “Jonnie”, and Alexis. He was preceded in death by his brother Alvin Caillouet (surviving wife Lynn). He is survived by a loving sister-in-law Charlotte Castell (Danny). He leaves behind 14 grandchildren Chavonne, Donald, Jr., Charlotte, Chad, Dylan, Jessica, Cody, Cally, Mason, Seth, Eli, Brittany, Baylor, and Laken, and 14 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of his life at True Life Church, 62160 Airport Blvd., Slidell, LA. Gathering at the church prior to the service is at 9:00 AM on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Service begins at 10:00 AM. A fellowship will be held at the family’s residence following the Service, please dress casually. Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Covington, LA.
