Lynn Holden

Lynn Verneuil Holden passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 19, 2018 at the age of 78. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Wesley Holden, Jr., her parents Audrey Katherine Currier and James McCabe Verneuil and her sister, Shirley Verneuil Bonicard. Lynn is survived by her daughters, Wendy Holden Talbot (Michael J. Talbot) and Carrie Holden Dunn (Bradley K. Dunn, Sr.). She is the devoted grandmother of James R. Talbot (Sara G. Talbot), Wesley E. Selvage (Carolyn L. Selvage), Bradley K. Dunn, Jr. (Gina G. Dunn) and Elizabeth T. Moroney (Mark L. Moroney). She is also the loving great grandmother of Olivia Grace Selvage, Samantha Nicole Selvage, Calvin Tyler Talbot, Katelyn Taylor Talbot and Brennan Leigh Moroney. Lynn is also survived by her sister, Yvonne Verneuil Felder and her cousin, Shirley Ann Darouse. She leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews including Trudy Bonicard Henderson, Susan Bonicard Quinn and Nancy Bonicard Periloux who were of great help to her since her return home to Ponchatoula several years ago. Lynn was a long-time resident of Algiers, Louisiana and was employed by the U S Navy as the Exchange Officer’s secretary and later at Service Master as an office manager. Lynn, along with her husband, Wesley, spent many years managing Circle H Stables in lower coast Algiers and showing their Palomino horses across the country. She was a member of St. Margaret Queen of Scotland Catholic Church in Albany, Louisiana. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 11 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 12 noon at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple Street, Abita Springs, Louisiana 70420. Interment will be held after mass at Ponchatoula Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Margaret Queen of Scotland Catholic Church in Albany, Louisiana or the American Cancer Association.
