Lois Cerise

Lois F. Cerise passed away on October 16, 2018, at her residence in Covington at the age of 93. She was born in New Orleans and lived in Arabi for most of her life until Hurricane Katrina, and resided in Covington for the last 12 years. Lois loved to travel with her husband, daughter, and son-in-law on trips, vacations and cruises.Loving wife of the late Edward R. Cerise, Jr. for 48 years.Devoted daughter of the late Daniel Fletschinger and Angelena Duoto. Mother of Shari McDowell and her husband Arthur J. McDowell.Grandmother of Craig McDowell, Karen Ferrara and husband Sean. Great grandmother of Tiffany McDowell, Kaitlyn McDowell (Dylan Lee), Gavin McDowell and Adriana Ferrara. Great great grandmother of Caleb, Julian, Adrian, Vinny and Valerie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Holy Trinity Dr., Covington, on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 12:00 noon. Visitation at the church from 10:30am until Mass begins. Interment immediately following at Lakelawn Metairie Mausoleum, Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans. Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Covington, LA.
