Linda Frechou Obituary

Linda Marie Ravain Frechou passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the age of 75 and was a resident of Abita Springs, LA and former resident of New Orleans, LA. She was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls High School in 1965. Linda was a devoted wife and mother that sacrificed to make sure her children were loved and cared for. She had a deep faith in God and shared His love with everyone she met. She spent much of her time in prayer for family, friends, and countless others. Linda’s talents and pastimes were many. She had a green thumb and grew beautiful flowers, earning her “Garden of the Month” in Abita Springs. She cooked wonderful recipes which made the holidays special. The companionship of her pets Dixie, Minnie, and Spunky gave her immense joy. Her unfailing humor made the darkest of times feel joy filled. Linda is preceded in death by her parents Eugene J. Ravain and Yvonne Jolls Ravain Burns, two sisters and brothers Eugene J. Ravain, Jr., Joan R. Carrington, Ronald R. Ravain, and Patricia B. Kruebbe. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 55 years Joseph Victor Frechou, Sr., her children Joseph Victor Frechou, Jr., Pamela Ann Frechou Armand, and Kevin Joseph Frechou, daughter-in-law Lynn Waters, and son-in-law Dean Matthew Armand, her beloved grandchildren Jacquelyn Alexis Frechou, Andrew McCoy Frechou, Jacob Joseph Frechou, and Zachary Julian Armand. She is also survived by a brother Michael C. Ravain, Sr., and three sisters Carolyn R. Grassel, Jacquelyn R. Bivona, and Yvonne B. Firmin. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, September 27, 2021 at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple St., Abita Springs, LA 70420. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM and Mass begins at Noon. Interment will follow at Abita Springs Cemetery, Abita Springs, LA. Condolences and tributes can be posted at www.serenitycovington.com
