Kim Melancon Obituary

Kim “Pinky” Melancon, at the age of 61, continued to her next journey on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 “com-fa-ble” as promised. “Ma” is the forever devoted wife of 39 years to Mark “Blu-Dog” Melancon, who preceded her in death in 2014. Kim, born in Augusta, Maine and daughter of Norman Parlin, Sr. and Marilyn Paul, was a fan of faith, family, friends, felines, food, films and the perpetual re-watching of all the original Star Trek episodes snuggled up with her cat, Max. Her red beans and spaghetti sauce will be missed. She is survived by her children: Michelle “Shella Mella” & Joe Spinelli, Samantha “Sammie JoJo” and Jake Everhardt, and Darcy and Steven “Sepi-her gentle giant” Melancon; four grandchildren ; Kaitlyn “Piggette”, Daniella “Poopah”, Victoria “Pea”, and Dana “Stink” as she affectionately referred to them! She greatly missed her sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews in Maine and expressed her love for them all. Kim taught us the importance of commitment and family despite all obstacles and that soulmates truly exist. Pinky and Blu reunited at last! Fly free across the stars chasing each other as planned. Their adventure continues…

Memorial to be held in Maine at a later date.

Special thanks to the loving staff of St. Tammany Hospice.
