Karin L Williamson

Karin Lee Williamson of New Orleans, LA passed away after a 2 year battle with cancer on Saturday, August 27, 2016 in Covington, LA at the age of 60. She is survived by her mother Martha Gail Williamson, sister Ronda Williamson (Spokane, WA), brothers Dennis (Li Yuan) (Baton Rouge, LA) and Marc (JoAnn) Williamson (Bloomington, MN), nieces Sierra (Craig) Lawrence (Kennewick, WA) and Jennifer Williamson (Minneapolis, MN), nephews Matthew (Olivia) and Michael Williamson (Minneapolis, MN), three grandnieces and a grandnephew. She was preceded in death by her father Ronald Williamson and brother Richard Williamson.\r\nAfter graduating from Sacred Heart High School in New Orleans in 1974 she attended LSU, UNO and graduated from Delgado Junior College. Her degree in visual communication led to 27 years at Ed Smith’s Stencil Works where she worked in the graphics department.\r\nKarin enjoyed cheering on the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints, the occasional casino visit, and a good slice of Gambino’s banana cream pie. She was an avid donor to America’s Blood Centers. She loved everything New Orleans, and was thrilled to be able to spend some of her final days back in the family home in Mid-City. Most importantly she was a wonderful and loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she met. She always put others ahead of herself. The family would like to thank the many friends, caregivers, and family members that provided care, companionship and prayer during her lengthy illness. A special and heartfelt thank you to Ardell Fink and Pam Ecuyer for their generous, tireless and supportive care they provided to Karin. No words can express our gratitude to you both.\r\n
