Joseph Celino Obituary
Joseph Roy Celino,Sr, passed away on Saturday August 25, 2018 at his home in Abita Springs, LA. at the age 0f 79. He was born in New Orleans, LA. A life-long resident of Chalmette and for the last 12 years resided in Abita Springs, LA. He was owner and operator of Crescent Auto Parts and Supply in New Orleans, LA for over 50 years. His passions in life were his family first, and his business,
and playing golf with his life-long buddies.
He was the son of the late Joseph Celino and the late Rosalie Guccione Celino Meyer.
He was the loving husband of Marie Meilleur Celino for 59 years, And the wonderful and loving father of Donna Lynn Marie Celino Gunn, Joseph Roy Celino, Jr. and wife Mia. Preceded in death by two daughters, Denise Marie Celino and Debra Marie Celino Schaefer. Brother of JoAnn Lane and her late husband John. Frank Celino and his wife, Marie. He leaves behind nine loving grandchildren; Derrick Gunn Jr. and his wife Ashley, Joshua Gunn, Seth, Sarah and Ethan Schaefer, and Joseph, Dayna, Christian and Jeremy Celino. Also survived by four great- grandchildren; Maliyah, Myla, Jesse, and Gabriel. Private services were held on Monday, August 27, 2018. Cremation was handled by Serenity Funeral Home in Covington.
