James April Obituary

James David April passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020 in Kenner, LA at the age of 64. He was born in New Orleans, LA and lived in Jefferson Parish, LA. He was a musician, and he had many talented friends who were also musicians. Some of the bands he was a part of was Savage White, Az If, Paradox, and Miss Maggie’s Mayhem. James was also a huge New Orleans Saints fan. He is the son of the late David and Rita Weindstein April. He is also preceded in death by his sister Lana April Garcia. Stepfather of Candace Rumore Pearson. He is the uncle of Michelle Garcia Assavedo (Toby), and Daniel “Rock” David Garcia, he is also survived his last living uncle, Earl April. 4 great nephews, and many in-laws and cousins whom he loved dearly. He will be sadly missed by many friends and all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held on a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Covington, LA.
