Idalean Guilory Obituary
Idalean "Ida" Montelaro Guillory entered the gates of Heaven Wednesday evening, September 5, 2018, at the youthful age of 70.
She was the loving wife of the late Stephen J. Guillory. Daughter of the late Rita Lemoine Montelaro and Anthony P. Montelaro. She is survived by her son Stephen J. Guillory Jr. (Stephanie), her daughter Melissa A. Guillory LeBlanc (David).
Sister of Antoinette “Nettie” Padilla (Frank), the late Frank Montelaro, Anthony "Tony" P. Montelaro Jr. (Ann-Marie), Kimberly "Kim" Montelaro Hammers (Carl). Mother-in-Law Virginia Guillory, brother-in-law Damian Ortolano, Norris Ortolano, sister-in-law Lisa Ortolano Duffy (Terry). Also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Cherished Grandmom to David II, Katie, and Jesse LeBlanc.
Ida was a loving family member and friend too numerous to name. She was dearly appreciated and loved by all. Ida's career in Human Resources in the aeronautics field expanded many decades including Michoud in New Orleans, Lockheed Martin in Orlando Florida, Cape Canaveral, Florida, and Stennis Space Center, Mississippi.
Her passion for quilting led to her work at “Sew This” as a teacher of quilting and sewing workshops. A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, September 10, 2018, at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA 70457, (985) 892-1774. Visitation at 11:00AM at the Retreat Center. Rosary to be said at 1:10PM in the church. Interment to follow at the Abbey Cemetery.
