Ida Eschete Obituary
Ida Margaret Eschete passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021 in Covington, LA at the age of 76. Beloved wife and best friend to John Milton Eschete for 59 years, she is survived by John and their three children: Drena, Darell & Nicole. She was known as ‘Darlin’ to her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Brandon, Devon, Bryonna, Jessica, Seth, Jillian, Alayna, Braxton, Bailey & Grayson. The daughter of Woodrow & Ida Mitchell and sister to: Woody, Jeanette, Barbara, Elaine, Sandra, Johnny & Evelyn.
The epitome of a Southern lady, her soft manner drew everyone to her, including extended family and friends. She poured her life into her family and it was reflected in every corner of her home — especially at Christmas which she celebrated with utter Joy. She fought hard to stay with us, her heart strong until the last moments. She was so lovely, words cannot possibly describe her or her life. She loved her church and the Lord, family gatherings, sweets, McDonald’s and Diet Coke.
Her family offers a special thanks to the staff, nurses, and CNA’s of Forest Manor for her excellent care, and to the hospice team and nurses of St. Catherine’s Hospice for their devotion to their patients & their families.
A Memorial Service and reception will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 2638 West 13th Avenue in Covington, LA at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Flowers can be sent to the church on Saturday.
