Helen Celestine Obituary

Helen Fay Celestine was born in 1948 in New Roads, LA and lived in Slidell, LA for most of her life. She passed away at her home in Pearl River, LA on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the age of 72. Helen was an ordained minister who spent most of her time reaching out to the community and spreading the good news of the gospel. Helen was a nurse for all her life and worked in the Intensive Care Unit for many years. She proudly treated patients on the Northshore for many decades. Helen was preceded in death by her father Roland and her brother Marcus. She is survived by her mother Mary Rose DeRogers, her siblings Deborah Celestine, Eric Celestine, Donald Celestine, Reginald Celestine, Kevin Celestine, and Lorraine Celestine, her three children Deidre Celestine, Trent Celestine, and Rosalind Celestine-Camper, her seven grandchildren Kim, Terence, Teranesha, Ashleigh, Tabitha, Brian, and Justin, her great-grandchildren Katrina, Michael, Isaiah, Keymon, Amari, Zyarie, Zyhalah, Paislyn, and Cameron. Helen was a very loving and giving person who will be greatly missed by all. Services are private. Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Covington, LA.
