Gino “The Bean” Salvadore Dupas passed away, suddenly and unexpectedly due to a blood clot, on Friday evening, October 15, 2021 at Ochsner Medical Center in Jefferson, LA at the age of 62. He was born in New Orleans, LA where he resided most of his life. For the past 23 years he was a resident of Chalmette, LA. For 40 years Gino worked at the New Orleans Fairgrounds as a jockey and exercise rider. For a part of his life he was a technician for the oil companies gathering oil samples. For the past 5 years he worked for Lucky Coin. Loving husband of the late Angele Rose Dupas for 27 years. Son of the late Peter and Genevieve Dupas. He leaves behind his stepmother Earlene Dupas. Brother of Iris Dianne Matheny (Philip), Edward “Eddie” Dupas (Rose), Ralph Dupas, and the late Pete and Darrell Dupas. He leaves behing many loving and caring nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Gino’s life will be held at the New Orleans Fairgrounds on a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the local St. Bernard Parish Animal Control in Gino and Angele’s names. Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Covington, LA.
