Gerard Kollman Obituary

Gerard (“Jerry”) Kollman passed away on Sunday February 13, 2022, in Jefferson, LA at the age of 67. He was born in New Orleans, LA and lived in Metairie, Louisiana for most of his life.

Jerry was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and a fraternity member of Northwestern University (Theta Chi). He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors and watching all sports. Throughout his life, Jerry was courageous in his battle against Muscular Dystrophy.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Albert Edgar Kollman and Doris Duhe Kollman, his sister Donna Kollman Gordon, and his niece Constance Gordon Webster.

He is survived by his sister Susan K. Duplessis, nieces Stacey Gordon Barry and Rebecca Gordon Andrew, nephews David J. Gordon, Michael J. Duplessis and Grant A. Duplessis, several grand and great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends of the family will be invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held at St. Joseph Church in Paulina, LA (date and time to be determined and announced later).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or to St. Joseph Church or St. Christopher Church to dedicate masses in Gerard Kollman’s name.
