Gerald Merlin Juan

Gerald Merlin Juan, Jr. passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020 in Metairie, LA at the age of 59. He was born in New Orleans, LA and lived in Metairie, LA for most of his life. A graduate of Holy Cross High School, “Class of 79” and member of the Knights of Columbus, Little Woods Athletic Club, and 3 D’s Entertainment. Jerry worked in Sales throughout the Louisiana area and was an avid sports card collector and true sports fan. He loved fishing, hunting, karaoke, and being the life of the party, telling jokes with family and friends. Son of Gerald Juan, Sr. and the late Lois Fast Juan Dudenhefer (Harry). Devoted father of Christy Lynn Juan (Tanya) and Megan Juan Exsterstein. Father in law of Eric Exsterstein. Ex-husband and best friend of Tammy Gore. Brother of Toni Juan Chagnard (Ray). Grandfather of Easton Joseph Exsterstein. Godfather of Erica Bostic (Daniel) and Kelleigh Flucke (Christian). Bubba of Daniel Jr., Averi, Katelyn, Madden, Chaise and baby Flucke. Also survived by a brotherhood of friends who were always by his side. Arrangements for a Memorial Service have been put on hold pending the resolution of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
