Eugene Mauterer Obituary

Eugene D. Mauterer passed away at his home in Lacombe on January 3, 2018, at the age of 84. He was born in New Orleans and lived in Lacombe for 30 years. Eugene proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and he was retired from Sears as a former shipping and receiving manager for 40 years.

Loving father of Daren M. Mauterer, Jeffrey J. Mauterer and late Gwendolyn Dauzat.

Former spouse to Arleen Dowling for 18 years.

Devoted grandfather to Daren, Kim, Jonathan, Jamie, Christina. Great grandfather of six.

Brother of the late Elmer Mauterer, Mildred Randazzo and Marlene Mauterer.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Funeral Services at Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Hwy. 36, Covington, on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm with the service starting at 4:00pm. A private burial will take place at a later time at Southeast La. Veterans Cemetery, Slidell. Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral 20419 Hwy 36, Covington, LA. 985-875-1311.
